Kaminari Brewing is a craft brewery based in Tijuana known for their focus on high quality beer and appreciation for traditional brewing techniques. Our collaboration began with a beer label and later expanded into the branding for Taster, the brewery's specialty taproom.

GRANADA DE MANO
BEER CAN LABEL, MADE WITH ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR (2018)
Carlos Navarro, owner of Kaminari, commissioned me to design a label for Granada de Mano, a pomegranate Berliner Weisse whose name plays on the Spanish words for grenade and pomegranate. They wanted a bold, memorable design that immediately communicated the beer's concept.
I leaned into the military-inspired image by pairing bold typography with a simple illustration of a grenade revealing the inside of a pomegranate. The finished label was a clean, straightforward concept and established a creative relationship that led to future branding projects with Kaminari.
