LADY BLUES Apparel
JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY
Lady Blues Apparel was a handmade tie-dye clothing brand committed to creating bold, affordable apparel with inclusive sizing. Kimberly, the founder of Lady Blues, and I connected through our shared love of music and partnered to create a limited-edition collection inspired by Bad Bunny.

BEHIND THE WORK
Kimberly and I wanted to create merchandise that celebrated Bad Bunny's music without relying on recognizable portraits or album artwork. Instead, we focused on typography, lyrics, and color to create a collection that felt subtle enough for everyday wear while remaining instantly recognizable to fans.
Over several months, we developed the collection through regular FaceTime calls, sharing ideas and refining each design together. I created a custom typeface inspired by Bad Bunny's visual identity and designed graphics around Yo Visto Así and YHLQMDLG. Kimberly paired the artwork with her signature hand-dyed garments, and together we selected bold color combinations and finishes that reflected the energy of the music.

RESULT
The finished collection included limited-edition tie-dye apparel, tote bags, and stickers that blended our individual creative styles into a cohesive product line. Creating an inclusive collection was equally important to us, so we offered multiple garment styles and extended sizing to make the pieces accessible to a wider audience. From the first sketches to the final launch, the collaboration reinforced how thoughtful design and shared enthusiasm can create products that feel personal, collectible, and fun.
